Overview:

The Developing Solutions Scholarship Programme is intended for international students from Africa, India, or selected Commonwealth countries who aim to pursue a Master’s Degree at the University of Nottingham and contribute to the development of their home country.

Eligible Programs:
Full-time Master’s Degree Programs (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham, starting in October 2025. This applies to students in the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Engineering
  • Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Social Sciences

Target Group:
Students from Africa (all countries), and specific Commonwealth countries, including:
Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

Scholarship Value:
50-100% of tuition fees

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be domiciled in one of the eligible countries listed above.
  • Be classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.
  • Hold an offer for a full-time Master’s program (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham for the 2025/2026 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, Faculty of Science, or Faculty of Social Sciences.

Application Process:
To apply, candidates must first receive an offer for a full-time Master’s program (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham. Once you have an offer, you can apply for the scholarship through the NottinghamHub portal. The deadline for applications is 16 April 2025.
